ROSS AND CROMARTY

Ross and Cromarty ought to be alive. It is a county of wild and spectacular scenery and wonderful places like Cromarty itself.

As The Tatler (the Magazine of old money) so eloquently put it; "this is Our Highland playground". "Our", mind you, not being the ordinary folk who live and work in the county, but the wealthy and titled of the South East of England.

Sporting estates abound in Ross and Cromarty. Almost 85% of the county is in the hands of estates. That leaves a huge 15% for ordinary mortals.
