When we visited Lochinver for the first time we were totally soaked and desperate for a cup of tea. It was gone six o'clock and we also needed a bank and fuel. We had ridden round the shore road from Kylesku to Lochinver, a very enjoyable and exciting trip with 25% gradients and wonderful views. The road is very narrow and you have to be very attentive because the roads are so winding and hilly but, if you want to see some wonderful scenery then this is the way to go.

We stopped in the village and asked a young lad where we could get a cup of tea, he was most helpful and told us about the fishermen's mission, the Royal Bank of Scotland and where the garage was (which we had ridden right past!).
