Helmsdale is a picturesque village on the east coast of Sutherland with harbours, coastal and riverside walking trails and boasts one of the best salmon rivers in the North.     Kinlochbervie is primarily known for being a busy fishing port, it is a small village set in the rugged, craggy Sutherland landscape it is beautiful and somewhat "haunting" in the early morning.
