THICK HENRY RESIGNS

Henry MacLeish, the First Minister of Scotland has just resigned.

Apparently he had been claiming a parliamentary allowance for the upkeep of his constituency offices while simultaneously renting out rooms in these offices ... directly contravening the Parliamentary rules.

There is no suggestion that there was personal gain ... just a lack of competence at issue.
