This one may take a little explaining.
Apparently, the economic value of a
poor wee sheep would be enhanced by bonding the teeth of the
sheep with a hardened compound.
The two Edinburgh men who patented this woolly
idea in 1981 also formed a company to commercially exploit it. The
company was called Ewesplint.
You couldn't dream this up.
Looking up Ewesplint on the Companies House register
reveals no company trading under this name.
We wondered why .... surely Edinburgh
sheep dentistry was a world winner.
Sadly, no.
