The game that the Scottish football
scene eagerly awaited was played today at Bingslag Park, home
of St Minging.
With 6 Fourth Lanark players sent off
and 6 Saint Minging players hospitalised, this game set a
new standard for foul play and brutality.
The scene was set in the opening 5
seconds. Broon kicked off for St Minging. The ball was rolled
towards Thebam, Saints' promising 18 year old striker. It
never reached him.
Machete, with a two footed tackle into
Thebams' throat ensured that Tam Thebam would take no more
part in the game.
Neither would Machete as B. Intheblack,
referee for the afternoon, sent Machete packing with the days
first Red card.
Fraser, Thebams' replacement was the
next to feel the "excitement" that P R Lunatico
had promised us.
As he walked up to take the free kick,
he was scythed down by Sendimov with a vicious two footed
tackle which broke his right femur.
He hadn't touched the ball.
Referee Intheblack had no hesitation
in demanding Sendimov join his teammate for an early bath.
The pattern continued with Bogov and
Fukov joining the early sending offs. Both players indulged
in extraordinarily thuggish tackles which crippled opponents
Crapley and McFadden.

"I
was delighted with the quality of play" said PR
Lunatico

However, a pattern was beginning
to emerge.
The Saint Minging players knew that
if they touched the ball, they were likely to be on the receiving
end of mindless brutality rarely witnessed outside of Murrayfield.
Perhaps wisely, they began ignoring
the ball when it came near them This resulted in all twelve
of Fourth Lanark's goals.
However, it did not stop the thuggery
and B. Intheblack had occasion to send off both Bampotti and
Deadleggi for off-the-ball incidents which left two of their
opponents on life support machines.
Scottish football is going to be very
exciting with Mr Lunatico and his merry men around.
