As can be seen from "This Week's Fixtures" column, the non stop rain we have had this week has practically wiped out the fixture card. Last night(Thursday) it was hoped that the 1stXV ( v Stirling County ) and the Colts ( v Clacks ) games would still be played. However heavy overnight rain has meant that the Colts match has now fallen victim to the elements. Arrangements have been made for the Main pitch to be inspected tomorrow morning(Saturday) in the hope that the 1st XV game will go ahead. We are promised better weather later today and tomorrow - we shall wait and see !
Kirkcaldy welcomed Glenrothes U18’s to the Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy on Saturday (29/08/09) for their first home game of the league this season. The Blues should be happy with the result as they worked together as a team to achieve this on a windy Saturday afternoon.
Glenrothes started off the game kicking into the wind and with some great tackles and support play by both sides. Kirkcaldy were on top form with an opening try from Robbie McNab in the 8th minute with a pick up from a ruck and taken forward by McNab to score Kirkcaldy U18’s first try of the season.
