This site started as a hobby in 1999, the direct result of one too many bottles of wine of a Friday evening. We have had a ball doing it, and continue to do so.

But as it gets bigger and bigger and more and more of you buggers come to visit it, and we try to defray the costs of running it by selling things, then we have to do grown-up serious things.

We take our responsibilities seriously. As well as being the alternative voice of Scotland, we would also like to build an ethical reputation as a site that gives a f*** about the people that visit, shop with and support us.
