Ally MacLeod - less optimistic than Keegan ?

Ally McLoud wasn't such a bad manager. He got us to the world cup in Argentina.

We got gubbed by the teams we were supposed to gub, but really, the only surprise was Iran ......... O.K.. it wisnae a surprise, it wiz a bleedin disgrace, but Ally is a nice man, and does not deserve to be remembered as the victim of tabloid excess, or as the fall guy for over optimistic expectations.

Ally has recently (last remembered c1997) been managing Ayr United. When he started the job, the supporters confidently predicted Premier Division status in two seasons. Perhaps history was not a curriculum subject in Ayr.
