Perth - just because we live here doesn't mean we want to come back

In a bid to boost tourism, Perth Tourist Board recently conducted a survey whereby they sent out a questionnaire asking people when they had last visited Perthshire.

A perfectly legitimate exercise, you would think.

It might have been, but for the fact that the questionnaire was sent out to the residents of, yes you guessed it, Perthshire.

What is most disconcerting of all is that, apparently, 8% of those canvassed stated that they had never been to Perthshire, while 17% indicated that they had little or no intention of visiting the county in the foreseeable future.
